WHY BUY A HOME NOW?

1. Real Estate is cyclical. The cycle will change (we don't know when exactly), prices will start ascending again, by the time everyone becomes aware of this the best opportunities will be gone.

From 1990-1996, the biggest down market in home prices in Los Angeles that I was a witness to, the people who were not afraid to buy, reaped great financial benefits once the cycle changed and started charging up. They then were able to get into a larger home with the equity they had built in the one they lived in.

2. There are opportunities available now. People who need to sell for a variety of reasons will put their homes on the market for sale, and will lower their price if they don't put it on at the lowest price possible to begin with, until the home sells. Or they are open to negotiating with you in a way that was not possible in the last 10 years.

3. There are more choices available to you now than ever. Of course not all of the choices fit your wants and needs or are good choices, but there are plenty of homes to consider, and there is always a good one to buy.

4. There is less competition from other buyers. Many people are afraid to make a decision in this climate so they hesitate, that's when you can take the opportunity to step up.

5. Interest rates are going down. Unlike what you are hearing and reading, there are some excellent loan packages available at the lowest rates we've had in a while.

Having said this, please note that not all homes are created equal…know that in real estate all that counts is LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
